The Homies backpack is made for comfortable and safe adventures with your dog. Apart from that, they're designed to look good, feel good, and do good.

They're built for everyday comfort, with padded straps and breathable materials so both you and your dog can enjoy being on the move. The bag is designed in (and shipped from) the Netherlands, developed together with designers and veterinary professionals.

Each bag is ethically produced through Fairtrade manufacturing in Bangladesh (female-owned), and for every Homies bag sold, a meal is donated to a dog shelter.

To make sure your Homies Dog Carrier fits perfectly, measuring your dog is essential. Breed alone is not enough - dogs of the same breed can vary a lot in size.

How to measure your dog (takes 30 seconds)

Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (back length).

Do not include the tail.

If your dog is between two sizes → size up for comfort.

Size guide

Size XS – 35 cm

Fits dogs with a back length of 30–40 cm

Best for: Toy Poodles, Chihuahuas, very small dogs

Size S – 45 cm

Fits dogs with a back length of 40–50 cm

Best for: Standard (not oversized) Dachshunds, Maltipoos, similar small dogs

Size M – 55 cm

Fits dogs with a back length of 50–60 cm

Best for: Labradoodles and similar medium-sized dogs

We offer free shipping within the EU on all orders over €100.

Returns

If your order arrives and it doesn’t fit or you’re not happy for any reason, you can return it within 14 days and we’ll refund your purchase, no questions asked.

Please note: return shipping costs are not covered by us, as we’re a small independent business.

To avoid unnecessary returns, we kindly ask you to measure your dog carefully before ordering.

If you’re unsure about the right size, send us a message: we’re happy to help you choose before you order.

Once we receive the returned item in unused condition, we’ll refund your purchase (including the original shipping cost, if applicable).

Where does your money go?

We believe in being transparent. For every Homies bag:

• 19% goes to the factory that makes the bag
• 6% covers international shipping
• 5% pays for storage & delivery to your door
• 38% goes to marketing so we can reach new dog parents
• 17% goes straight to taxes
• 15% stays with us to build Homies Dogwear and of that we donate a meal per bag sold to a shelter in The Netherlands. Hopefully, this will be a substantial amount in the future.

We just started a year ago, so we are still a very small company. But bear with us, I'm sure we will grow into a healthy company within the next few years.

Shipping

Free shipping in the EUR applies on all orders above 100,- euros. Homies ships to most countries in Europe.

Homies will ships all orders within 1 – 2 business days within Europe. It depends on the courier when it arrives. We believe it is important that all owners and dogs can enjoy our products as soon as possible.

Homies ships to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, United Kingdom.

Shipping rate: 7,50 euros per order below 100,- euros. It might take a little bit longer than a few business days for your order to arrive, depending on the postal company being used in your country.

Returns

What is the right of cancellation/returns?

You have the right to notify us within 14 days of receipt that you wish to exercise your right of cancellation or to return a product. The best way to do this is to contact our customer service department.

Materials

The Homies bag is made of 50% nylon and 50% recycled nylon. It can easily be washed or cleaned in the washing machine, on 30 degrees. Not higher.

The chest girth = equal to the width.

Size S is made to fit a dog with a back length of 47-50 cm when measured from the collar to the base of the tail.

The bag comes with a little cushion, so if you furry friend is a little too small, the cushion will make 1-2 cm difference.

Where are the bags produced?

The bags are produced in a female-owned Fairtrade factory in Bangladesh, adhering to the highest Fairtrade standards, certified by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).

She is changing the production industry in her country from the inside out and has become one of the 7 advisors of the local government.

How does Homies Dogwear contribute to animal welfare?

For every bag sold, Homies Dogwear donates a meal to a shelter dog, as we believe all dogs deserve the care they need. This year, we donate to the animal shelter in Amsterdam: DOA.

In what sizes and colors is the Dog Carrier available? And are there any more sizes coming out?

The Homies Dog Carrier is available in three sizes, XS, S and M, and in two colors: Oliver Green and Bruno Black. We will make more products, colors and sizes in the future.
