Fairtrade & mission

Our bags are designed in Amsterdam and made by a female owned Fairtrade factory in Bangladesh. A factory that does things differently:

Fairtrade production

Our bags are made with the care and high-quality materials. We work with the inspirational Taslima in Bangladesh and together we make sure our products are made fairly. Taslima's upholds the highest standards of Fairtrade practices, certified by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).

Female owned

Taslima Miji is the visionary leader of the production company, and her journey is quite remarkable. Following the collapse of Rana Plaza (the factory that collapsed in 2013), Taslima embarked on a mission to revolutionize the industry, from the inside out. She founded Leatherina, where each bag is meticulously produced in a fair and sustainable manner.

European standards

Not only does Taslima prioritize ethical production, but she also prioritizes the well-being of her employees, mirroring the standards that are common in Europe. Her commitment to both her craft and her community creates hope and progress in an industry that is ripe for transformation. If anyone wants more information about our production process or contact details of this factory, just shoot us a message.

PS. For every bag sold, we donate a meal..

Homies donates a meal to a shelter dog per bag sold. Because we believe in giving back. It is our mission to provide as many shelters with a Christmas present at the end of the year, by providing them with many meals. We start in Bangladesh, near the production factory, and hope to soon be able to donate more meals to other shelters all around the world.
